Well, that's painfully obvious to do a full wipe. Not to be a douche or anything (heh, surprised?) but where have we announced that you can or SHOULD flash over a previous build? All instructions point to a full wipe. If you don't do a full wipe and don't follow instructions, we have no pity for you and won't help resolve any issues on your behalf.Not an improvement from beta 1 that's for sure. To summarize: If you have issues, backup and do a full wipe, reflash the .zip and then see if the issue persists. IF it does, THEN post about it if it's an unknown issue (there's plenty of issues as is) and we'll look into it.
By checking force gpu in the dev options in setting, I have no issues or complaints(as far as lag or graphix). Great work folks.
Edit: and making sure animations are completely OFF, you won't have to hit the status bar to refresh runs wicked nice.

sounds correct with my experience, i restored my backup and didn't have data for about 20 minutes afterwards.the data issue may not have anything to do with this build; VZW is experiencing nation-wide data issues. i am having limited connectivity issues now i didnt have an hour ago.
Ok, after messing around I've found that seting CPU to 1.3, disable animations,transitions and the vold.fstab fix this thing runs better than CM7 it's fast, sexy and sweet. Not going back to CM7.

Here is a new build with sdcard fixes from Groupers. It also has wifi signal strength fixed.
My suggested usage is to do a full wipe (format /system and wipe). Then flash the rom: http://www.multiupload.com/I9C41N2UOA
Now boot into the rom, in settings -> developer turn off transition and window animations (this stops the redraw issues for now). Go ahead and connect to wifi if you want.
Now reboot into recovery and flash these gapps: http://tux-head.net/pawitp/gappsv5.1.zip
Now reboot and add your google account manually.
I would recommend this way since flashing rom and then gapps together makes the setup hard to navigate (with the redraw issues).

Newest update is working well with the animations/transitions off.

So I ended up reverting back to another version of Gapps. Seemed to work ok. but the calender is having sync issues today. Maps won't update either, which is really weird. Downloaded and flashed this morning. Works great. Basically had the same setup yesterday, but figured there was something new in Gapps. Oh well. Great work again.
Those gapps should have fixed TTS, so voice dialing and google maps navigation talking to you should work.
