Super wierd, first time I've seen this one. Factory reset, rom reflash should do the trick.

Hi,
First of all: thanks for the rom, I'm enjoying it a lot.

But, I seem to have very bad GPS reception with RC4 v2. It takes a very long time for Maps to know my position, most of the time 2-5 minutes. Is this a problem that is known, or is there some sort of fix?

Hey there, I'm a really big fan of this rom, but experience a lot of force closes lately. Should I do a complete wipe/reinstall or should I wait for RC5?

I thought this as well when I went to 4.2, and really needed my GPS for recording my biking/jogging.

For the i9000, it could be a problem with the antenna. My wife and I have the exact same phone, same ROM (4.2), same kernel (Semaphore), and same modem (KG3). Hers locks on INSTANTLY. Mine didn't. Until I came across this link:

I used some electrical tape.

As for the next iteration of ICSSGS, can't wait! With 4.2 and Semaphore, phone is working like a champ for EVERYTHING I need my phone for.

Hi Guys, sorry if this is obsolete knowledge to you.

I have just flashed the semaphore 1.0.0 kernel (higher versions seem to cause bootloops in ICSSGS). It instantly boosted the speed of the phone up. Now I have about 110-130MB free Ram most of the time when not gaming. (with Dropbox, G+, google voice input, Path etc running in the background)

The effect is quite significant. If you had laggy issues like I did, try use a more light-weight kernel

the only reliable options you have are either ICSSGS or Team KANG AOKP, forget about CM9 lol. There are no "better" options.

But CM9's battery usage is epic, and I haven't had any crashes so far.

I will return to RC5 when it will be released, though.

My update from 2.3.3. to ICS 4.0.3 didnt work. This is three days ago. No answers from the team ICSSGS. A chat that doesnt work, full of to does and sentences concerning how the dump user has to behave. It's like at (a bad) school

Did u went to the irc channel for support? Did u followed the tutorial? Any other detailes like what the hell is happening with the phone? (bootloop, reboot to recovery, etc. )

I love this ROM, been using it for ages, but lately have been getting FCs with the camera.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

I'm going to remove recently installed apps to see if that has any effect.

Reverted to front camera, went to settings, reset and got it back working again.

I'll see how it goes.
