Several tweaks to improve overall performance and speed.

Yes, this should work correctly.

The tweaks put into this rom gave me and a few testers the highest scores out of the available roms. Of course, that could vary from phone to phone. Removed that line to prevent offending anyone.
Hey man I love your work, no offense here :)

Is it still a good idea to use a task killer with the JB mods?

With ICS I used Advanced Task Killer and had it aggressively stopping apps not on ignore list every 30 min for a noticeable benefit to battery life.
You're not really supposed to use those past android 2.1. It can actually use more battery killing apps.

What all versions of Jelly Bean have you tried? The earlier (and still some of the other current ones) screw up some stuff and make it hard to switch to other ROMs. If you're back on stock, try going directly to Jelly Belly 1.3 as they are fixed in my releases. That is, once you aren't pissed at 4.1 anymore! :)
I'm so glad you fixed that. Vicious version has that issue. Anyway your ROM is smooth and the battery life is great with francos kernel

Oh also can we flash 1.5 over 1.3??

OK...here is the issue...the R instead of 4g was an attempt to fix the T_CDMA 64 banner some kept having instead of Verizon wireless (it tricks everything into always saying Verizon wireless)

The fix?-
easy all in one option-
in terminal emulator
su
rm /data/eri.xml
reboot

Another way without terminal-
use a root file explorer (like root explorer)
go to /data
delete eri.xml
reboot
Yeah, I just tried this and it worked. So disregard my comment

I know JB is more optimized by Google for smoothness. If you are comparing these stock JB ports to stock ICS then its fair. But comparing stock JB to custom ICS roms is not fair. ICS roms have more evolved kernels (JB kernels are still new) and are built from source with lots of modifications.
I'll tell you this, never once have I been more impressed with a stock ROM. Even when I first tried ICS I could point out some of it's flaws
