This rom looks great, Kejar! I ran liberty 2 but switched to Rev's CM7 GB nightlies. Does anyone have a comparison for the battery life of CM7-GB to Liberty 3?

(If not, I will in a bit).

Does install need to be done from a clean OTA or can it be installed from another OTA-based rom with data and cache cleared? (another question I'll answer in a bit lol).

Thanks again for all of the devwork, Kejar!
Liberty battery life has been worlds better for me. CM7 would get me around 16 hours max... Liberty 3 has got me 24+.
As long as you're running a rom based on the Gingerbread OTA you should be able to just wipe data/cache and install.

Updated from RC 1.2 with no issues. I still have the same issue as I did on RC1.2 with trying to use 4 hotseats in the Launcher. The icons are + signs but when I tap the + it says 'Application is not installed on your phone.' I really like to have 4 apps in the launcher. Any fix for this other than using a different Launcher?

edit: I figured out you need to long tap to add an application to the additional hotseat locations, then there will be an application there to run.

Here's my self report:

Just cleared data/cache and installed over rev's CM7-GB (latest release). I then ran Jakebite's latest mods. Everything installed smoothly and Liberty is working great.

However, about 50-55% of my battery use is Android OS in the battstats. Of the last 52 minutes (on battery), I haven't really used it, but it's down ~10% and shows android OS as using 94%. The battery use is linear, which might indicate the interactiveX bootloader on my phone is messing up.

I know it's kind of a blur vs CM7 gripe, but the power control and ringer customization in CM7 would be awesome. Overall, I like the blur vs AOSP choices for applications, the custom launcher, and the integration with prop modder, root explorer, dsp manager etc. It feels more like it's more suited for the Moto Droids than CM7 is.

Definately the coolest rom since GummyJAR

The interactiveX governor has given me nothing but problems.

Decided to calibrate my battery on Liberty 3 today. Results so far...
36 hours phone on
90 minutes screen on
25 minutes voice calls

WOW.

Stock battery using JakebitesMods (minus the logger and InteractiveX governor) and using Android Overclock to underclock/undervolt.

My phone is reporting ~15% battery left, too.

A few things I have noticed:
+In blur alarm clock the AM and PM are backwards on the main alarms page listing all the alarms... the settings pages work properly and when turning on an alarm the time reported till alarm is accurate despite the AM/PM being wrong on the screen (again, this is reporting proper AM/PM in the settings for any induvidual alarm, just is shown opposite in the list of alarms). doesnt affect functionality so isnt a big deal.
+ I've had issues with media volume muting, and the volume sliders not turning it back on, in fact I never change or mute the media volume when this bug occurs. Another poster mentioned it has something to do with the gallery, and I can verify that this is the problem. I actually use the 3d gallery, but the default one appears to be there as well when opening a picture, if you select view it uses the regular gallery. I am pretty sure this bug is due to droid x functionality, as I see the HDMI option in the top right corner of the gallery when it first opens. the 3d gallery is not affected by this.
+ I have noticed the rom crashes sometimes when opening and closing the keyboard. This may not be easy to recreate... but it seems to happen when the screen is locked. It may just be overwhelming the lock screen orientation change (so maybe it would be best to remove the orientation change until after the phone is unlocked?) I have been able to recreate this bug a few times while writing this post, just by opening and closing the keyboard repeatedly while on the lock screen. This has also happened while in my pocket, which is why I would like to see it fixed if possible.
+ Launcher... I like the new launcher and would prefer to use it rather than install another one... but it has a bug that wont let me set up the layout the way I would like. I use 4 launcher buttons, but I cannot add the contacts app to the launcher (well I can, but when launching it it say app not installed), also the dialer/phone app puts the link to contacts app instead (and again it still says app not installed).

I think that's all... Will post back if I encounter anything else...
OH YEAH, AND GREAT JOB ON LIBERTY 3! YOU GUYS HAVE REALLY MADE THIS ROM THE BEST!

was encouraged to post here, so i joined the forum.

great rom! i have noticed a few of the issues posted already:

Charge LED not functioning
Volume killed by video playback? it did it once when it played a video in "Video Player" and once in the Youtube app.
and the AM/PM switch in the alarm clock.

I had one suggestion/request:
On my Droid 1, that was running some form of cyanogen mod (its been a while), I had the option to change the LED on the face of the droid to indicate different notifications. For example: I could set the led to indicate one color for email, another for messaging, another for app-push notifications. It was handy to look at the phone and know what i missed if i didnt hear the notification and was unable to unlock the phone (dirty hands, hands busy, driving, etc.)

overall though, much snappier than when i had LGB.09 on it, and battery life is great!
I like the toolbox. everything i need, phone related, in one app! (has anyone found the hidden feature?)
THANKS!

Only two complaints after installing.
How can I get back the option to long press the menu soft key in order to open the soft keyboard?

Any way to change the notification power widget? (Or disable it?) I never use bluetooth, or change my gps and would prefer to change those settings to something more useful to me.

Otherwise, LOVE IT. T-mobile theme support would make me scream in manly delight, but 1% battery is pretty much worth losing themes.

I have this installed on my wife's droid2, and there is no sound from youtube, netflix, video files on the device etc... is anyone else running into this? My X has liberty installed as well and there are no issues at all. Needless to say she is not impressed at this point :)
