Maverick for the Droid3 (MavROM) - V4.5

Notes:
  • Wipe data after install of ROM no matter what ROM you are currently on
  • Manually update Google apps once to make sure they will update properly in the future
  • Change stock MMS to black background to fit the theme better
  • We highly recommend using Hashcode's safestrap to install this ROM
  • If coming from bootstrap to safestrap please reboot after switching to safeboot mode before installing ROM
Team Maverick:Thanks:
  • Huge thanks the Jrummy16 for helping me learn how to code for Android and helping along the way!
  • Kejar31 for all the help he provided and for answering all my questions.
  • Thanks to Hashcode for creating a great way to flash ROMs and leaking the new system files.
  • Thanks to Kshen1 for all the great promotion.
  • Thanks to Mobile_Sensei for all the great wallpapers he releases daily.
  • Thanks to Droidjunk for letting us use his mod to help out the ROM.
  • Thanks to Nitroglycerine33 for letting us use his keyboard and help.
  • Thanks to all testers and those of you who helped along the way!
Features:
  • First D3 custom ROM built with the new 5.7.906 system apps
  • One of the most deeply themed D3 custom ROMs out there, just about every aspect is themed
  • Manily stock feel that has been stripped down for speed and battery life
  • Power widgets in pull down bar (Thanks to jewremy)
  • 1% Battery Increments
  • AOSP MMS replaced blur messaging
  • Build.prop edits for speed and increased battery life
  • Built-in permanent root via mount_ext3.sh file in bin
  • Toolbox for switching apps in and out
Known Issues:

For those having issues, what bootstrap are you using? I flashed this using Hashcode's Tweaked bootstrap (with full wipe) and have not had any issues. I was coming from Liberty 1.2

I would say this is the issue. If you are using koushs stock bootstrap every ROM is hit and miss with that. Try safestrap or hashcodes tweaked bootstrap.

I noticed its really fast! But battery sucks. within 20-30 mins battery went from 100 to 92%. The speed is great, but mostly everything is similar to stock. =/ Maybe consider themeing all the icons to be ics themed as well?? Just a suggestion. Great work tho. Looking forward to future builds!! =D

Did you wipe your battery stats before install? You battery probably wasn't truly at 100%.

Did you come from bootstrap to this? Or were you already using safestrap?
I was on safestrap v1.02 updated to v1.04 that seemed to fix everything. Rom is running great, probably my favorite so far.

Alright, installed this rom last night using safestrap, love it, but as a couple people mentioned, the battery drain is pretty bad, I dropped 30% in half an hour under minimal use. The phone also seems to be running a lot hotter than usual, it was staying at about 38 degrees under minimal use, from what I could tell, the phone was keeping both cores running at all times. Then, this evening, my hardware keyboard stopped working. I had to boot back to my safe system to get it running again.

After you guys install all your apps and stuff, you should reboot your phone so that your apps are working on the system correctly and not running in the background and heating it up. Also battery stats will be messed up for a few charges due to safestrap installing on a different partition.

I did reboot after installing my apps, a couple of times. I'm about to check to see if the hardware keyboard will work if I switch back.
