We are pleased to announce the first release of Virtuous Primo, this is based on the leaked 1.56.401.11 release RUU. We would like to give special thanks to Football for the RUU.

This build currently falls as an X-Series release, how ever it is suitable for use as a daily driver if you can live with a few bugs. We hope to have ROM feature complete as soon possible. Check bellow for a full list of what is working and what is not.

Primo is the result of a collaborative, team effort by the following developers:

Features

Based on the Primo ROM (1.56.401.11).
Fully Deodexed
Ported for almost full functionality on all of supported devices
Heavily optimized for fluid performance and usability.
Overclocked kernels with numerous additional kernel modules.
Built-in screen state frequency scaling (1.1Ghz-307MHz/ondemand screen-on, 768Mhz-307Mhz/conservative screen-off), via custom built virtuous_oc C daemon.
Market-sourced applications (Gmail, Maps, Voice, etc) automatically installed on first boot into /data/app for easy removal.
Bloatware and unnecessary applications removed.

Supported Devices

Important Notes

You must complete a full wipe prior to installing this ROM the first time. We also recommend wiping between upgrades, but you are welcome to try upgrading without a wipe. However, no support will be provided if you file a bug without having wiped prior to submission.

To ease the process of reporting bugs to the team, we made a public bugtracker where you can report any bugs you found. Please make sure you read all the existing entries there to avoid doubling the errors.

Great rom,can't believe how smooth it is,cant wait to take pictures and video,i see what you mean about the recent apps and the cubed movement in the apps section,its all good i know we will get it when they get it,keep em coming vt and let the mt4g live for ever like the hd2!!!

BTW, the mic works great on phone calls, but anything that uses Google Voice doesn't work. No voice based search or navigation.

tryed it out, worked great, not gonna use as a DD until its more stable and some tweaks are put in

I took a look at a logcat for the camera and it seems that control 0 is missing from the build,what libs were used in this build?? My camera app loads and i get the video/shoot button but screen stays black,but video/shoot buttons do light up but nothing happens,logcat say they react though so im guessing camera just fails cause its missing control 0 in dev/msm_7x30,and possibly several other things,havent looked into it that deep yet!!!

This has to be the fastest ROM ever on the mt4g, its so smooth! Have HTC discontinued the news widget, can't seem to find it in this ROM? What's the best app to use for overclocking this kernel? Always have wake issues with virtuous roms if I change any of the default clock settings - no idea why...

I have to say this ROM is sweet, I can't turn it loose; even though I need my camera and use mostly everyday in my work, but damn good ROM to have. Thanks

Since the camera does not work, is the gallery still in this rom? If I can at least see the pictures I've already taken this will probably be a daily driver for me. But I don't know.

Yes the gallery is there or you can use Quickpic from the Market

Will updates b including full sence 4.0 instead of a dulled down non 3d version or is this the complete version

This version of sense is what it is. Its the way HTC made it.
We are working on a full sense 4 rom ported from the HTC ville, there is a lot of work to do though

Don't get me wrong man love the Rom would love to c someone het a camera working before starting another Rom

The app Task Changer PRO gets Recent Apps working. It works by setting zones around the edge of the screen that you swipe and you can set each zone to different actions, one of which is Show Recent ICS. In the settings, check extra Zone and Extra Zone at Bottom, and then set the Extra Zone to Show Recent ICS. Exit settings. You can now swip up from the bottom of the screen to access Recent Apps.

thier is a rom with recent apps working but i only run virtuous, they have the keys mapped so the genious button is the recent app menu works on home screen

Am super excited to see a functional ICS Sense 4.0 ROM, and even more excited to see it's the Virtuous team bringing it to us. I do use the camera from time to time, but I think I'm going to d/l this anyway to get my hands on Sense 4.0 - I won't touch Sense 3.6. Thank you all in the Virtuous team and family, and I'll be watching this thread for updates.

Also, it's good to see such a high-profile team promoting RootzWiki exclusively.
