CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h><br />
/*<br />
* Your warranty is now void.<br />
*<br />
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,<br />
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please<br />
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM<br />
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if<br />
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.<br />
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

This build will have bugs and issues! If you are feint of heart or not confident with your self to recover your phone through recovery, adb, or fastboot, you may want to think twice before flashing this ROM. If you are looking for a completely stable daily driver for a ROM, you may want to move on and wait. BUT, if you are familar with your Phone and are willing to submit issues with Logcats, radio logs, and kmsg logs, and helpful feedback, then you might wanna try this out.

****THIS IS A TESTING PHASE ROM THERE WILL BE ISSUES.****

**Known Issues**
-Possible Data/Voice bugs and issues.
-GPS Not being accurate. Find New Netowrklocation.apk from latest OTA.
-GPS Not starting. < WORKAROUND/FIX HERE http://kan.gd/vc7
-Flash Videos in browser only work with Flash version 10.2 < WORKAROUND/FIX HERE http://kan.gd/v4n
-Speaker Phone in Skype broken

As Always, make backups, and insure you wipe data/cache when loading the rom.

And for the download link: (no mirroring please) BIG thanks to Snipa / DrMac for the hosting
I nor anyone else will take any responsibility for bricked phones using non-released radio images.
LATEST CWR OR TWRP is required.
7.1.1 FOR MR2/MR2.5 RADIOS Uploaded 10/2 1:25AM
md5sum e9c60335e17f2995e4803246f0061f66

No Data Wipe should be required, but as usual, if weird stuff happens, wipe it.

** Changes/Fixes to 10/2 **
-Fixed MMS
-Fixed Up some Audio Bugs
+ BT fully working (AFAIK)
- FM radio toggling to speaker breaks it
-Sync'd Up with the mainline.

I had bootlooping issues with RC 0.4. Thankfully, I am able to report those issues are no more with the updated kernel in RC 0.5!

Not to be nit picky or anything but what's the problem with the sound recording you stated above? I'm still on RC03 and I haven't had any issues with it recording audio in 720p mode?

Lol read the "known issues" in the op.
That said... flash to bamf, GPS status, nandroid back worked for me.

I think the "Known Issues" list has been the same since the original release. Don't quote me on that but I don't remember it changing.

I think he's saying gps lock is working quickly for him even without doing the sense trick. If that is indeed what he's saying, same here. I didnt do the gps sense trick or use gps status and yet I was able to get a quick gps lock. Awesome. Auto brightness still doesnt work for me but I think this rom can finally be my daily driver.

Great work slayher, I'll give this a whirl in a little bit, appreciate it man!

Edit: (Didn't want to make a second post)

Question, every time I go to install a new release I will do 3 Data Wipes and then install the update.zip..

However, when I boot up for the first time I have Google Books, Market, Talk, etc.. Is this because the /system/ is not getting properly wiped? I mean, I've looked through the update.zip under /system/app/ and I'm not seeing the BooksPhone.apk or any of the gapps and I was under the impression that slayher does not pack his nightlies with Google Apps..

Any light on this matter will be great
Thanks in advance!

To my knowledge, wiping data only formats /data and /cache. A format of /system is usually done in the zip file update/install script, or can be done manually under the mounts and storage option in CWR.
