This is the beginning of the return for RoootzBoaaaat.

Built from source, fresh from AOSP--Android 4.1.1

We are changing our focus a bit to speed and stability rather than 1000 features. Hopefully you guys will like it.

Build 2 - Beta - 07-12
Camera/Camcorder fixed - no need to dirty install from previous JB ports
WifiTether Fixed
Voice Search Fixed - no longer have to download offline pack to make it work
SuperSU added to build
Insecure boot - adb remount, etc working now
Root Explorer was updated on the app side, no more issues there

New GApps with the help of Kejar31 adds:
--App restore fixed
--New Music
--New YouTube
--New Gmail
--other random bits

Build 1 - Beta build
Built from AOSP source
su installed, download SuperSU or Superuser apks whichever you prefer.
Install busybox from market "Busybox installer or other"
Google Now/Voice Search works with included Gapps.
RootzBoat wallpapers included
Toro volume fixes applied
Correct ERI included
Various VZW bits included..

This is obviously the second build of this ROM. Fixes and adds will be coming super quick, but wanted to get this out there to give you crackflashers something to do today.

apps restore did not work, but I'm not a fan of that anyways.
hopefully the backup to google and restore options will become separate, pretty sure it only had one check-mark for both. :s
I prefer to restore with TiBu.

App restore didn't work for me either but I also hate it. That's what TiBu is for...

WormDoes, why does it take 10 minutes to replace a battery? The hardest part for me is snapping the cover back on without breaking the tabs. That should take under a minute.

About to rewipe and re flash. Anybody else have the yellow camera? I didn't have it before but beta 2 I do. :-*

I just finished setting everything up and it's all working beautifully for me. Only thing that didn't work was auto restore.

Mine seems better than beta 1. I did see some of the same issues as kejar's build...

No picasa pics in gallery

Can't sync older stock browser

Thought there was one more but I can't remember

Ya I downloaded the files. They seem to have been the right files.

So what I found is:

App restore works but is flaaaaaky. The first time I installed the downloaded files it didn't work. The second time I did it did work. Only thing I did different between the two was wait for my mobile signal to actually come up instead of just using the wifis. So if app restore is important to you try wiping again (I know I know)

Calendar sync works, music sync works, gmail sync works, contacts sync works, settings restore, currents, books.

Browser sync does not work, picasa sync does not work.

Camera seems normal to me.

I'll look into the general flakiness of the app restore, and non working sync on apps affected. Once again I work today so it'll be late before I figure it out...

On second thought. I figured out why bookmarks were not syncing.

Uploading a new gapps in a minute. I don't know if you will have to wipe to get the bookmarks to sync but you could try not wiping and see if the browser shows in accounts after flashing. New link will be there in about twenty...

Here is a simple Rootzboat mod I did if anyone wants it. All it does is change the status bar to a black gloss, transparent pull down and the bottom of the pull down is a silver and black gradient and changes to blue and black gradient when pushed. I won't post here unless xoomdev wants me to but let me know if you want.

I downloaded gapps/rom this morning on slow internet and it didn't take too long from goo.

I saw no mention of T9 dialer. Is it baked in? If not, is there a mod we can flash through recovery?

Edit: I tried searching for "t9" after my last post and it returned no results...

Edit: I tried using the regular search and that also returned no results...

Haha I'll try it dirty (like it dirty every now and then anyways ;-)) and we shall see what happens. Thanks man. One quick question. I've never used SuperSU till JB and I don't like it. I like the regular superuser app. Can I simply download superuser from play store install it and then uninstall supersu or will that screw stuff up?

Mustang, i envy your connection. I have been trying a couple different roms and the apps, it has been talking over an hour. Crazy even when i am on a 25mb download speed.

No more yellow tint on camera, I use Chrome Browser so bookmarks are fine, this update smoothed out my only issues with the initial release, thanks for the update Xoomdev
