ALERT!!!! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE FULL POST BEFORE POSTING.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Here is the new SHIFT Series of Custom AOSP builds... Compiled from CM7 Source from the ground up, then torn apart to tweak, thin, and mod. It's SUPER fast, solid as a rock and fluid as it gets. This will support MOD PACK ADD ON's to Shift the UI of the device. The first pack that will be released will be BURN IGNITION, with a flash it will transform the OS into BURNTH3ORY. There are and will be many more to come. Of course all standard ways of customizing will work as well. I wanted TH3ORYROM from the begining to be about a rock soild performance base with the options and tools to make it your own. Well, we are taking it back VIVA REVOLUTION!!!! ENJOY!!!

Good to see you over here at wiki, DroidTh3ory. I am running this ROM right now, and the only real issue I have is the poor audio quality when recording videos. Other than that this ROM is tops!

Why is the thread titled "Unofficial?"
Thanks!!... Rules... Because it is not "officially" supported by CM7. :)
Cool glad to see you over here. Now I can remove XDA from Tapatalk since everyone is here now

Oh - duh, that makes sense. Thanks.

As for battery life, after wiping battery stats post bump charge and using the Ondemand setting I got 28 hours yesterday/early this morning with moderate usage. So in other words, the best battery life I've ever gotten on my TB. I use SetCPU to underclock when the screen is off, though.

How is the battery life on this?
Excellent for myself and all other reports I have recieved.

:)
Are any previous cm7 users who experienced bad battery related to the radio having better battery life with this?
Cool, i'm going to try this when I get home

Had poor battery life on cm7 until the last build when things seemed to get better. Been using this rom since DT released it and there was a noticeable increase in battery life. Maybe as much as 25% or so.

Okay cool. I'm going to give it a try
Two questions:
1. What radio is best for battery life?

2. Has anyone tweaked settings in Vipermod, and if so what seems to be the most beneficial?

I have been running the latest 802 radio since release, along with a 100 voltage drop in Viper.

Perfect setup so far.... But, as we all know. All silicone is not created equal. :)

I just flashed the latest radio (although I feel like I may have already been using it, haha) and dropped my voltage by 100. It's worth a shot.
Just flashed this ROM. So far, so good.

After following the instructions about getting a GPS lock prior to the flash, I had no issues getting a GPS lock after the flash. I assume I don't need to apply the "fixes".

Question - is it possible to configure lockscreen timeout with this ROM? I use Exchange for corporate email, and one of the great things about the newer Sense ROMs is the ability to change the lockscreen timeout (and even use the Exchange policy setting). Before I go and configure Exchange (or install and re-configure Touchdown), I was wondering if someone had the answer.

Thanks!
When applying Burn Igntion pack, in Theme chooser:

Theme error

Sorry this theme is missing assets for your device's screen size
Wow I havent had the radio issues I did in CM7!

I really like this rom except for the 3g and 4g icons, they look kinda strange. I might make a theme pack for it that is basically the 100% aosp theme.
I flashed the MIUI theme from the AO5PSTOR3 and decided to go back to Burn Ignition, however after re-flashing Burn Ignition I still have the MIUI font. I cleared cache and dalvik cache before flashing. Help!

Edit: I'm also unable to change some of the icons back from MIUI as well. Even through choosing a different in ADW
Now when I backed it out with the stock apps zip, I get a FC on gmail.

Ran into that the other day when i uninstalled gmail then insalled from the market. Fixed it by clearing cache and Dalvik.
