This is good work! I'm afraid I cannot try it because I like .605

Can't much blame you at this point. When my Modded update passes my testing you may have a reason to updateThis is good work! I'm afraid I cannot try it because I like .605![]()
For sure. As soon as I figure out this last little boot-loop bug (I've found a way around it, just trying to decide how to handle it or find a better way around it.) I'd like to run it as beta for about a week on my phone before I call it stable, but for that week it definitely wouldn't hurt to have a few other people testing it as well. I'll get at you as soon as I decide which method I want to use for avoiding the boot-loophey ky would love to test the modded version if u need another guinea pig. thanks for your 621 work

I have a similar question.Could I Flash the deodexed .621 over me being on m5 of AOKP? I am on .605.

Yeah its an AIO. I just downloaded and checked the archive and it has the kernel, cdt, recoveries, etc. included. So if you flash this on non - .621 you will then be ON .621 (no reversion). You should be able to flash across with no problems, but keep in mind the repercussions of doing so...I have a similar question.
Is 621_Stock_Rooted_kY-Signed.zip an AIO?
I assume it is an AIO because of the following statement:
"2. They WILL also flash ALL non-filesystem images (just like the SBF) if you are currently on a Froyo kernel, they will flash everything BUT the radio if you are not."
I just want to verify and be extra clear.
I am running 4.5.605 rooted with the 15p Radio.
And I want to add, GREAT JOB!!!!!
Goose is right. They are "AIO" updates I suppose, they should take you from anything, to whichever version you download. I just don't like to use the term "AIO" because if you are not coming from Froyo they are not "AIO" as they will not update the radio and I want to stress this fact.Yeah its an AIO. I have no clue, this would be a much better question to post in Goose's [ROMS] Multi-ROM Thread - Blur-Based ROMs for those on .621/.604!. I have never run a 2nd-init ROM so I'm not sure exactly what they need. Can you use all regular and 2nd init ROMs with. 621. For instance, will I be able 2 still run AOKP and Wiz MIUI?

As long as he has the 15P radio (which he should if he took the OTA first and you flashed .604 correctly WITHOUT the radio) all you need to do is flash whichever .621 update corresponds to his current .605 version (either stock OR deodexed) and he should be all good, kernel, radio's and all. Also it's always a good idea to do a Dalvik & Cache wipe before leaving CWM.Okay guys, I have a question... I don't have my X anymore, I got rid of it before all the .621 shenanigans. But I am helping a coworker. He let his little boy play with his phone and he accepted the OTA. (he was on rooted .605).
So I flashed the MX .604 SBF and put stock deodexed .605 back on it using the modified version in Goose's thread. This was a while ago. Now I see that you have wifi fixes and .621 kernel updates and whatnot.
What do I need to flash to get him from where he is now to .621 with the correct kernel/radio/wifi libs? Will your .621 Stock Rooted do everything he needs or will he also need to flash a radio or kernel or wifi lib fix afterwards?
I think you already answered my question with the various posts saying this is an AIO but I want to make 100% sure since it isn't my phone haha.
All regular (blur-based) have to be patched, as blur-based ROMs have the .605 kernel included in the ROM which will brick your phone if you try to flash them. All 2nd-init ROMs run as expected, as long as kernel is GB as you can't revert (CM7 unofficials/YACK, MIUI, any ICS development...)Can you use all regular and 2nd init ROMs with. 621. For instance, will I be able 2 still run AOKP and Wiz MIUI?

He doesn't care if he is on .605 or .621, he also doesn't mind if he has to wipe or set anything up again. So I figure I'll have him flash to .621. That way he'll be as up to date as possible and have working WIFI and everything else.As ky said if you are going to this you are going to effectively stock .621 rooted. That means correct kernel, recoveries, CDT, devtree, all that fancy stuff that got wiped and put to Milestone X when you did the root. No further patches are needed as it contains the correct WIFI libs (thats what I had to make for the other ROMs was pulling out the WIFI lib files from .621)
IF he wants to stay on .605 (if he's fond of his setup and doesn't want to get everything set back up) go to my blur-ROM thread and just download the kernel/recoveries/cdt updater as a seperate flashable and the WIFI lib fix. Both can be flashed with no wipes needed, although if he had previously tried WIFI he may need to go in and forget networks then re-add. That will fix his WIFI and make his phone a "Droid X" again as far as all the firmware is concerned, he'll just be on .605 rather than .621. That's just personal preference, there is very little difference as you are still running the latest actual firmware (radio, kernel, recoveries, etc.) I'm sure .621 may have some further optimizations but everything will work fine regardless.
It is not a day later and this ROM is great. Fast, reliable. Finally Moto, only took 2 years.Upgrade went perfectly!!!
I was on stock 4.5.605 with the new 15p radio
Rebooted into ClockworkMod
Backup
Cleared Cache and Davlik Cache
Installed 621_Stock_Rooted_kY-Signed.zip
Rebooted
Now running 4.5.621 Rooted
I did not do a data wipe, I will post again if I end up having to wipe.
