So I bought a refurb tf101 .. it came with ics build .24 already on it.. Any chance I can get this thing rooted? I really need the use of ubuntu. I've tried all types of things but nothing has worked for me yet. But I'm willing to try things.

Just bought one of these off my buddy and I love it...however I don't love not having root. What are our options for this on .24? not really a noob to rooting, both phones I've rooted have had to been done the hard ways so I feel I'm capable of taking this on.
Did you try to downgrade to.17 yet? That was going to be my plan of attack.
