Wow, Cydia impactor... Did Jay Saurik help with this tool? He's the 3rd party iPhone guy.

At first glance it actually just looks like it is being used as a telnet client. Probably just for easy instructions. The hard work is in the .jar.

I could be wrong though, I didn't download, install, or seriously look hard at anything.

How should I go about using this root method? I am still on the old software (pre-OTA), rooted with SS.

I think my steps should be this:

1. Defrost all frozen bloat via TiBu

2. Disable all visual mods I made via Xposed

3. Revert to stock recovery (Do I flash the stock.img through fastboot? If so what is the command)

4. Take the OTA

5. Root using this method

6. Re-install SS.

7. Backup and mod

Any advise would help. I have been flashing since OG droid days so I am relatively familiar with how all of this stuff works.

Were you ever able to revert to the stock recovery after having had PwnMyMoto installed? Or is this necessary if you don't have SS installed PreOTA?

I think I just need the stock recovery.img ... Don't want to have to use RSDlite.

Can someone go to their sdcard root and get their recovery.img on their phone? It should be at /sdcard/recovery.img. I've gone and locked myself out.

EDIT: Nvm, grabbed it out of the SBF.

So, with 4.4 around the corner, anyone want to start discussing how to reverse this to try and re-attempt it in 4.4-land? :winkP:

Guessing we just flash recovery in fastboot again and take the update.
