Great post. And yeah, I've been in your situation before. I've been a CyanogenMod exclusive for more than a year now, but I still (on rare occasion thank God) end up recommending Sense for hTC phones to people who are brand new to the process. We should start up an AOSPaholics Anonymous group.litso said:I can't believe I just recommended Sense to someone, but I just don't want you to get burned early on in the experience. CM7 is an AOSP (Android Open Source Project) ROM, and its absolutely fantastic, but there is a lot of work involved in getting a new device working with AOSP.
Scratch my last. 5.0.2.1 has been released, and everyone I know who was having a huge issue with restoring has reported that this newest release clears up all the issues.Jaxidian said:As of now, rom manager's latest recovery is up to 5.0.1.0 and is still having problems.
All the best,
