WARNING: This rom deletes clockworkmod recovery

My first... ROM... EVER...

It's Ice Cream Sandwich... but after recoding several postulate axiom thingamabob doodads, I got the tablet interface to run on phones!

But seriously though, I now present to you, a completely AOSP 4.0.3 ROM, with the tablet interface instead of the phone one!

To my knowledge, everything works but phone calls, but I didn't test too thoroughly. Tablet notification bar works as well as the navigation buttons! Try it out and tell me what you think!

Beta 1 of ROM: http://dev-host.org/...eng.patrick.zip

GAPPS 12/27/11 (Thanks to Kejar31): http://i.minus.com/1...6QO71xFml6H.zip

Phone calls may or may not work, I'll look into it tomorrow!

Yeah I forgot about that, good news is that it's rooted so you can just flash it again in ROM manager

This rom doesn't delete any recovery, it merely flashes the stock recovery. Its for an aosp experience, and if you want CWM you can flash it, because the rom is rooted.

Therefore, deleteing clockworkmod recovery

But anyway, what are the huge difference with this ROM? Just the dpi?

Wow. 160dpi is at the limit of this things display. Personally I think 240dpi is where its at and if more people would give it a go, there would be roms based on 240. Maybe one day the ICS launcher will "get it" and operate properly at that density.

240 or BUST! lol

BRD Launcher - http://goo.gl/mKKlw ?
Actually, if you specify a DPI at all in the build.prop, SystemUI will FC constantly, so I just flat out removed that line. It's now set to whatever a tablet defaults at. It was the only way I could get SystemUI to work, and for the navigation buttons to show up.

Now if we could find a way to upscale the dpi without affecting the systemui FC'ing and get the phone functionality to work could definitely become a very usable rom. Don't get me wrong it works well, its just very small lol.
Is there really any reason to change the dpi?

The dpi here is lower to make android think we're using a tablet, giving us the ui seen in the video above. Personally, I think it's a really cool ui to use, but I agree that the small size makes it a little unpractical for now.

@patrick the only bug I've seen so far is that if you toggle notifications, it sends systemui into a fc loop until you reflash the rom. Otherwise, this is an awesome start, and probably one of the most unique roms that I've seen so far!

CWM will be deleted on boot every time regardless if you flash CWM with Rom Manager unless you do the following:

Code:
adb shell
Code:
mount -o rw,remount /system
Code:
rm /system/etc/install-recovery.sh

Later today we should have the aosp github forked and updated with our changes.

If only someone would try to port this over to the GSM version

I'll get right on that, I just haven't had any time lately for anything.

I'd love going to 240DPI, the extra screen real estate is very welcome, But it breaks market updates so I'm staying with the stock DPI
