I would use this as a daily driver, if calls and the market worked. Also, the recovery being erased sucks. I would love to see an AOKP based tablet rom for our phone.
I'll post a guide later if no one can get it, been busy lately tho. Literally all you have to do is get hide navigation working on aokp25 then l lower dpi to192, this will put you into tablet. Too get calls working just load up a phone.apk with a lower res, the one from b25 fit the incredible is working for me.

Few bugs like the carrier logo didn't seem to change, get a line across the top menu in email, if you turn off rotation then reboot you will have long press issues at least in nova launcher, probably more but they are all small. I might put my touches on the layout and release something in the future.
Edit: combined inbox on email app will fc also I think, might also be layout related

If you don't mind everything being tiny it's worked flawlessly for me. Actually found that adwex is a better launcher for this set up as you can resize everything

192 dpi, large font in display menu, nova launcher. I will rock this mini tab for a long while. Im gonna try to rearrange the status bar sometime in the future and also straighten out some of the layouts. if I can get something cohesive then maybe it will make it's way onto the forum, probably nothing soon tho

Are you not getting horrible sizing on the app drawer with nova

Portrait mode well give you some margin or padding issues, landscape is better. most issues could be fixed with some xml edits I believe. Until a real dev gets it in there head to do this, I will be working out the kinks as i get the time. If I get something that feels good enough to post then I will. Maybe I will start a thread with my progress in the future, until then I've posted all my findings in this thread and would be glad to give any info in my spare time if you wanna ak questions.

Edit: I would think just injecting the tablet layouts into the xhdpi layout might be a better route for a dev to go, or even making tablet layouts get pulled instead of phone ones for higher res devices, im not that skilled yet

Good god, I leave a thread for a day and the largest issue is already fixed! Really, the phone.apk from the Incredible magically works?
You know what, I won't argue and just enjoy it lol. Thanks Urban, for making the last two hours of smali editing useless

Haha, yeah. Like I said, it was a layout issue. When placing or receiving a call it was looking for low res files, that the original doesn't have, for the call layout because of the dpi change. This solution might cause the same issues when reverting back to stock dpi tho, haven't tried it or checked the apk for high res layouts

So is there a guide or are you going to release something?

Having trouble? I haven't done this from stock and don't have the time. Theoretically, just do the following: install nova and a navigation button replacement, remove navigation bar edit, set dpi to 192. I would assume you can grab the phone from any stock low res rom to fix phone

Compiling a zip now... I hate to hijack patrick's thread here but I want to provide something easy to flash :)
Give me 15 minutes
Compiled, flashing now and if it doesn't bootloop/explode I'll release it asap

Alright here it is, a fully functional (with lots of bugs to work out though) tablet ROM for the Galaxy Nexus.
I recommend a wipe coming from any other ROM, cause that's what I did, but do as you wish.
This is built off of AOKP Build 25, the DPI is at 192, it has working calls (thank you Urban you're awesome lol), has a modded market to fix any incompatibility issues, and contains all the Google Apps so no need to flash any gapps packages after this zip (it may be illegal, but it's easier to do this way).
