I finally got this installed. Unfortunately, I turned off wifi, and lost my data connection. I toggled airplane mode, still nothing. I am rebooting now. This seems to be the same problem i had on previous builds.

I'm unfortunately still having this problem, as is my wife on her Droid 2. Rebooting fixes it, but the problem returns every time I leave wifi. That is, the 3G icon will show up on the notification bar, but I end up with no data connection.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong here, but I can't get the file linked in the OP to flash. It keeps saying Installation Aborted immediately. I've downloaded it about 4 times now, verified the md5 every time.

I'm on a fresh install of MIUI 1.10.21 with no previous PB build flashed. Any ideas??

Read the install instructions... pb makes a zip that you flash... you don't flash the zip you downloaded.

Anyone else still having an issue with switching between Wifi and 3G after installing PB? Droid X MIUI 1.10.21

Just wanted to put this out there for anyone having issues with 3g / wifi. I had the same issues on 2.1. I had to SBF 2 nights ago before I could try 2.2 (Droid X decided it wanted to lose root for some reason, completely unrelated to PB). Since then, I put 2.2 on amd haven't had any issues going from wifi to 3g and back. So there seems to be a break down on the phone / rom and an SBF and reflash your rom clean appears to fix it.

Thanks, for some reason I can't seem to shake the issue. Have SBF'd and reflashed multiple times, always redownloading, always checking md5s and everything. Just to make sure I'm not crazy, I SBF'd again today and reloaded MIUI 1.10.21 and I'm going to use it for a few days without touching PB at all to see if the issue happens on its own.

Have you tried recreating the nvs_map.bin with the tut that is stickied in general dx section?

I have not. Thanks for pointing me in that direction, will be sure to give it a shot.

You probably did the same thing I did and tried to flash PB2.2.zip. It's not a flashable zip, detailed install instructions are at the beginning of the thread

Ok, gave it a few days with absolutely no Powerboost on a fresh flash of MIUI 1.10.21 to make sure that I had no data issues switching back and forth between Wifi and 3G. Everything was running great.

Just now installed the newest PB2.2 and toggled all mods on except for the CWR hack and hard key lights. But now it's back to the data problems.

It's not isolated to Wifi or 3G. If I boot up the phone with Wifi enabled, Wifi works fine. If I disable it, the 3G icon comes up and shows to be passing data up and down, but every program I launch says there's no data connection. So then I reboot the phone and it comes up with 3G data connections no problem. But then if I enable Wifi, it connects, but no data connection on any applications until I reboot again. So per boot, I only get data from one or the other, whichever is active on boot.

Any ideas?? This is the same problem I had with PB2.1, and it's not specific to MIUI 1.10.21 as it gave me the exact same issue on 1.11.9 and on VorteX RC1.

I type insh /sdcard/extracted/PB2.2/setup.sh ....and I get a "cant open sh /sdcard/extracted/PB2.2/setup.sh message.

You'll have to manually create that directory tree if you haven't already so that setup.sh and the "unthrottle" folder are sitting in /sdcard/extracted/PB2.2/

Updated link that step isn't required anymore. If you extracted it on the computer and transferred the folder, then you will have to create the folder. I may add a check in to cover all bases of the sdcard (/sdcard/PB2.2, /sdcard/extracted/, /sdcard/download)

Hm, using Root Browser it didn't create the directory tree for me, went straight to /sdcard/PB2.2

Ya it seems like depending on the app used is where it is extracted too. I used root explorer as my basis. I am looking into a better method as opposed to extracting (hopefully easy as flasing a zip but still has the multi device support that the current method holds. )

Gotcha, makes sense. I'll remove the PB2.2 files and reflash MIUI tonight, reinstall without using unthrottle and see how my data behaves afterwards. I'll hop on here after testing.

EDIT: Nevermind, just remember that I nandroid'd right before installing PB. Awesome

Ok, gave it another go and testing the data switching at every step.

Ran setup.sh, went through error-free, rebooted, everything still worked. Ran powerboost and zipped up the build.prop, sysctl, init.d scripts, fix permissions on boot, and conservative governor (no unthrottle, no CWR). Booted into CWR, flashed flashme.zip, and booted back up.

Switching between 3G and Wifi kills my data again requiring a reboot. Haven't run togglemods yet, so something in the flashme.zip did it. I'll nandroid back again and do one mod at a time to see if I can isolate it.

OK its seems that for people that are on the The latest MIUI the toggles for data and wifi are getting stuck. This has just got reported in the miui thread. As a result of this data & wifi often shut themselves off randomly but the toggles still stay on. So if your on miui its NOT bc of PB. Its a NEWFOUND bug in MIUI

I'm having the same issue on MIUI 1.10.21, 1.11.9, and on VorteX RC1. I see what you're saying, but the problem happens only after flashing the flashme.zip, and it's consistently at that point, certainly not random. I can nandroid to the moment before flashing it and everything works fine.

try it without build.prop zipped up

Before I saw this, I tried to do one mod at a time but had issues with it, kept getting errors on exit when building the zip if I tried to only build the build.prop mod into the zip with nothing else, or only the init.d scripts.

What finally worked with no problems was building the zip without the Fix Permissions mod zipped. I'm now running MIUI 1.10.21 with unthrottle, build.prop, sysctl, init.d scripts, and conservative governor. Without installing the Fix Permissions mod, I flashed the zip and everything continued to work wonderfully with no data issues on Wifi or 3G. Toggled the mods on, and still no problems. So for whatever reason, something the Fix Permissions mod put into the zip was messing up my data when switching between Wifi and 3G.

Also just used the same configuration with VorteX RC1 and that is working as well.
