v2.5 INSTALL​
1. Verify that you are running minimum busybox 1.19.3 and have functional wget command​
2. Open terminal and type:​
su
mount -o remount,rw /system (if running pb 2.2 type sysrw)
busybox wget [url to be added] -O /system/xbin/makedevice.jpg​
3. Next type:​
makedevice.jpg​
#- If this command fails then type:​
chmod 777 /system/xbin/makedevice.jpg​
#Then repeat makedevice.jpg command​
4. Device will reboot and load terminal for you :)​
5. Type:​
su
sysrw
pb​
/*​
* No need to create backup directory before starting this is done by default​
* Also note that all files are installed during makedevice.jpg​
* Just toggle what you want to use​
*​

6. Reboot after all mods toggled and other goodies utilized​

Ok, gave it a few days with absolutely no Powerboost on a fresh flash of MIUI 1.10.21 to make sure that I had no data issues switching back and forth between Wifi and 3G. Everything was running great.

Just now installed the newest PB2.2 and toggled all mods on except for the CWR hack and hard key lights. But now it's back to the data problems.

It's not isolated to Wifi or 3G. If I boot up the phone with Wifi enabled, Wifi works fine. If I disable it, the 3G icon comes up and shows to be passing data up and down, but every program I launch says there's no data connection. So then I reboot the phone and it comes up with 3G data connections no problem. But then if I enable Wifi, it connects, but no data connection on any applications until I reboot again. So per boot, I only get data from one or the other, whichever is active on boot.

Any ideas?? This is the same problem I had with PB2.1, and it's not specific to MIUI 1.10.21 as it gave me the exact same issue on 1.11.9 and on VorteX RC1.

i just tried this using various combinations of booting and en/disabling 3G and WIFI after reading that you had problems with RC1, it seems to work ok for my DX. I did install the data throttle mods as well as all others except for fix permissions and CWR at every boot.

Ok, gave it another go and testing the data switching at every step.

Ran setup.sh, went through error-free, rebooted, everything still worked. Ran powerboost and zipped up the build.prop, sysctl, init.d scripts, fix permissions on boot, and conservative governor (no unthrottle, no CWR). Booted into CWR, flashed flashme.zip, and booted back up.

Switching between 3G and Wifi kills my data again requiring a reboot. Haven't run togglemods yet, so something in the flashme.zip did it. I'll nandroid back again and do one mod at a time to see if I can isolate it.

ok, i am pulling my hair out. i cannot, no matter what i play around with, get the sysrw to be "found" in terminal. i have reread this thread several times, and i have seen the same question crop up, but i really don't see an answer?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

oops, i forgot,

i am on a fascinate. first i tried to do it in the ics (jt) and then went back to miui (rick s). no luck on either one of them.

also i was just using the jrummy busybox as i cannot find the adrynalyne one. and it looked like the second post said all busyboxes will work? am i wrong?

Same issues here BMc, it seems that somehow, mac address gets lost, rebooting resets it.

i'm running miui 1.11.9 on my droid x. had pb2.1, then reflashed miui without any wipes, installed pb2.2, and everything works great, no issues. i have all the mods on except cwr on every boot.

OK its seems that for people that are on the The latest MIUI the toggles for data and wifi are getting stuck. This has just got reported in the miui thread. As a result of this data & wifi often shut themselves off randomly but the toggles still stay on. So if your on miui its NOT bc of PB. Its a NEWFOUND bug in MIUI

My WiFi/3G works fine on MIUI 1.11.9 without PB (ver 2.0, 2.1or 2.2) install PB - problems, reflash nandroid system backup - no problems

I am also getting the sqlite3 not found message when trying to do step 2 (unthrottle). DX, apex2 rc4, Busybox v1.19.0.git.adrynalyne

i've switched back and forth at least a dozen times now, rebooted a few times, switched back and forth again, no issues...

Great work and thanks...but when extracted it doesn't go to my extracted file it creates one under sdcard/SpeedSoftware/extracted/PB2.2
after I ran that it TE I had no problem running it...any other way and it's not found ...thanks for the work

i figured it out. i totally had to rebuild the extracted file tree. and when i did it for the third time my computer renamed it pb2.2 2. i had to edit the name on my sd card and take out the nice little 2 extension. dang.

@BMC - I haven't looked at your script yet, but you might be able to set the links as relative instead of full. Like "./script.sh" instead of "/sdcard/extracted/script.sh". That would make it play nice no matter how it was extracted or moved over.

I just got a Fascinate. Coming from the Thunderbolt. I was able to get this going. Had to change the directory as mentioned (so it matched the OP). Also had to change the file name to match the OP (it dl'ed as PB2.2_2). I was able to get through the steps and flash the flashme.zip. Is there any way to know for sure if it "stuck". I went for the unthrottled mod. I went back into terminal and tried the "mods" option (I think) but still wasn't sure if the unthrottled mod took.

anyways - thanks to the OP for all your hard work. It seems to be working on the Fascinate running CM7 Nightlies 112 w/cwr.

I'm having the same issue on MIUI 1.10.21, 1.11.9, and on VorteX RC1. I see what you're saying, but the problem happens only after flashing the flashme.zip, and it's consistently at that point, certainly not random. I can nandroid to the moment before flashing it and everything works fine.

Ok so far everything works on the d2g except for the conservative governor. I've been unsucessful. Running cm7gb 1204 nightly.
