v2.5 INSTALL​
1. Verify that you are running minimum busybox 1.19.3 and have functional wget command​
2. Open terminal and type:​
su
mount -o remount,rw /system (if running pb 2.2 type sysrw)
busybox wget [url to be added] -O /system/xbin/makedevice.jpg​
3. Next type:​
makedevice.jpg​
#- If this command fails then type:​
chmod 777 /system/xbin/makedevice.jpg​
#Then repeat makedevice.jpg command​
4. Device will reboot and load terminal for you :)​
5. Type:​
su
sysrw
pb​
/*​
* No need to create backup directory before starting this is done by default​
* Also note that all files are installed during makedevice.jpg​
* Just toggle what you want to use​
*​
*/​
6. Reboot after all mods toggled and other goodies utilized​
7. Reap the Benefits​

I tried installing this on my fascinate...I extracted to pb2.2 directory, open terminal, type sh sdcard/extracted/PB2.2/setup.sh, it says directory not found.

Try with a / in front of the sdcard. Depending on where it puts you, you may need it to be a full path. If that gives the same error, cd in each dir.

#cd /sdcard
#cd extracted (no / to begin these lines)
#cd PB2.2
#sh setup.sh

If you get "not found" errors along the way, that tells you where the problem is too.

everything checks out and seems to have installed right but can't get the conservative governor to work. I'll chalk that up to the lovely locked bootloader? Also, not sure that the CWR hijack on boot is working properly either.

No its not because of the locked bootloader. I have a droidX and conservative governor works. Go to your Sd Card/unthrottle/lib/modules. Look for cpu_freq_conservative.ko (something like that). If its not there erase all traces of pb off sd card. Reinstall Rom. Then try to reinstall PB. This is all I know to do.

no dice, still no gov (module is there) and no CWR hikack...followed directions to a T...I'll keep an eye here to see what develops...

Wow!
I had better make certain that I get it right the first time because my DX is the only means I have to surf the internet. I must cover all the do's and don'ts....

So BMC you see I need a fail-safe method of installing your mod! I'm on the Simply Stunning 2.2 rom, Android Version 2.3.7

Is there any help for me or some special instructions from you on this issue....

I want to try your mod on my DX runnin the Simply Stunning 2.2 rom, Android version 2.3.7....however I must be certain to nail it down the first time, because my DX is the only means I have to surf the internet. If I goof up I'm afraid I want be able to return for assistance....you feel me....
Is there some special instructions that I need from you? ...O and by the way I did in fact read every post in this forum but any extra help would be appreciated. I'm just a bit confused with some of the post is all...thanks in advance

I'd say go ahead and install PB. air admit I had some trouble but that was only bc an app was conflicting. I uninstalled the app and all is well. I suggest you install this. If you have any connectivity issues at all just delete pb off of your sd card. Then reflash your Rom WITHOUT a data wipe. That would fix your issues. I would be surprised if this broke your 3G

here is what i get on checkmods. also, a screen showing that the conservative gov isn't registering with setCPU although it checks out ans is present in lib/modules

again, BIONIC running Eclipse 1.1.1
