[THEME][EP1W & EP3HA] Greys and Blacks Gingerbread v1.0.4 & v1.1.1 (Updated 10/9/11)

This is more or less the same concept as the Froyo theme I made which can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...5#post14791965. I've taken the stock theme and reworked it to be more pleasing to me.

**UPDATE**

I've updated the theme for the new EP3HA leak. As of this release, the gummy team has not updated their rom with the EP3HA base, so I don't know if it'll work with that or not. Right now I am running on the stock deodexed with imoseyon's v.3.0.1 kernel and all is running fine. The updated theme does not include the added reboot options (recovery and download) as I got those directly from gummy, and am not capable of reworking the code myself for it. Here is the download link for the updated theme.

V1.1.1 - I changed the colors of the text selectors to grey from their original blue. This is a very minor update (three images were changed)

**End of Update (All following information is still relevant to EP1W and Gummy 2.0rc1.5)**

I am currently running GummyCharged CBE 2.0RC1.5 with imoseyon's v2.0.7 lean kernel. This theme has been tested on stock, Gummy, and Humble 3.0 with success on each of them. All of the apks are from the stock EP1W release that I deodexed and then themed. I also removed the location icon.

**OPTIONAL**
I've taken Framework.jar and android.policy.jar from Gummy 2.0 GBE. These files will add a "Recovery" and a "Download" selection to your reboot options.

Instructions
Make sure you have root and Clockwork Recovery installed
- Boot into recovery (Use either Reboot Button app or Hold Volume Up + Home + Power Buttons when phone is off, until the Samsung logo flashes then release all buttons)
-- Select "install zip from sdcard"
- Select "choose zip from sdcard"
- Select "Greys_and_Black_v#.#.zip"
- Select "Yes - Install Greys_and_Blacks_Gingerbread_v#.#.zip"
- Go Back
- Select Reboot System Now.
***The first boot may take a little longer than usual***

As usual, flash this theme at your own risk, myself, xda, nor anyone other than yourself is responsible for damages to your phone.

If you give the theme a shot and like it, leave me a thanks, or a post so I know if its worth continuing to update.

Thanks to the Gummy team, I used a couple of images from Gummy 2.0 GBE, as well as the reboot options package.

I'm happy to test it out for you... that would rock my socks off. I've tried the debloated version, and it's not as smooth as the stock EP1W (at least on my Charge).

Edit: I've been patiently waiting for someone to do this. I can't seem to find a ROM that actually works well and looks good, and while the stock bloated EP1W runs like a dream for me, it looks like, well, you know...

Fantastic, glad to have a taker, I hope there aren't any bugs. And just for an explanation of why I'm on stock deodexed, I wanted to start with the original files from stock in order to prevent any inadvertent kanging from anyone else. Ultimately I will probably switch over to a rom, most likely gummy. But the theme should work across all roms.

At the moment my account has been blocked for spamming...I don't know why they did that. Someone spammed this thread, and I reported it, then they blocked me...So hopefully that will get sorted out and I can release this.

Sorry to hear it. Anyhoooo.... I'm running your theme on the deodexed rom you provided - smooth so far. Looks good. I'll report back with issues if need be. Nice work so far.

The status bar txt icon is the normal screen icon (green) and not the standard GB icon (I personally prefer the standard GB icons wherever possible, but it's your theme). Also, in the music app, the pulldown text (ongoing) for the trackname when a song is playing is a little light for the background. I've been seeing this in a lot of themes lately - I'm sure it's hard to get right.

Edit 2: The update above was from 1.1. I have now installed 1.2 and will work with that.

The txt notification icon is related to which mms.apk you are using. if you use the stock samsung mms, you get the green bubble. Perhaps you are wanting the one from aosp. I suppose, however, I can go in and make him grey. I'm not actually sure what you are hoping it to look like. I'm going to make him grey for now.

I've updated the OP with the released version of the Theme and more information. Hope you guys like it.

*Edit* Sparky, I haven't ignored your note about the text being dark, its next in my queue.

*Edit Again* Sparky, it seems that the music.apk itself decides the text of that color and would have to be edited in order for it to change.

*Lets edit again* V1.0.4 is added now, it changes the dropdown notifications background and text colors to look better

*Edit 4* V1.0.4 works fine with Gummy 2.0RC1.5

I flashed the file on Gummycharged GBE 1.5 RC, but the theme is still unchanged.

I tried flashing twice.

Try clearing cache and dalvik cache. I don't know if that will make the difference, but it might. One other person said this happened, but then it seemed to clear itself up for them.

Love the theme. I'm running it on GummyCharged 2.0 GBE RC 1.2.

The only thing I miss is the screen off animation from Gingerbread. Is there anyway to get that with this theme?

It was enabled by default when I installed Gummy GBE. Thanks so much! It's an otherwise great theme!

Well that was a pretty easy fix, it is uploading now. Will have in the OP in as soon as my internet stops being slow and uploads the darn thing

*EDIT* It has been added to the download section in the OP. Thanks for bringing it up Ladera, I didn't even know about it, I have used Gummy GBE only for the base, and immediately overwrote the files with this theme, so I never saw that feature in action.

Yea, I didn't know 2.0 was released. I'll install it tonight and will have an updated version of the theme out as soon as possible.
