Obviously it's not. He has the same named images in the same location as CM9 so if this isn't working then it's because there's something else going on or he has them referenced somewhere else as well (they are located in drawable-hdpi as well). Again, it's built specifically for CM9 but likely to work with other roms using the CM9 toggles. No guarantees.
