I wonder is you altered the CPU min/max speed would resolve the blue screen issue.. I remember back on some roms, playing with the min did fix some roms rebooting.
And Hello Dorregaray
I wonder is you altered the CPU min/max speed would resolve the blue screen issue.. I remember back on some roms, playing with the min did fix some roms rebooting.
unfortunately not. the min is 384MHz as in regular nightlies.
I've checked the logcat when got the blue screen some time ago at it looked like some issue with odexed frameworks.jar in dalvik cache (modification time mismatch between the odex file and jar). however except the blue screen the system is starting and working (as you may find in logcat) so the cause of the problem may be totally different... however this is the last issue to solve

I don't know if it's already been mentioned but in the last several nightlies (weeklies), I am also getting the blue screen at times, so I suspect that doesn't specifically have anything to do with your camera work and is the victim of a bug that was introduced 2 or 3 weeks ago. I haven't loaded the last nightly (10/07) because nobody on the Unofficial Nightlies thread seems to be complaining about the blue screen, but I never loaded your rom but did see the blue screen on the previous 2.

Hmmm, I really didn't have any blue screens since months with any nightly here.
and what about video orientation? is it correct? or rotated as the preview?

could someone check the battery drain before running the camera app, during the preview/video capture and after closing the camera app? everything should be properly closed/disabled after closing the camera but if we'll see the increased battery drain it will mean that something is still not deinitialized properly
yes orientation working excellent!!!
Camera orientation is perfect for me in Skype
I mean, my TP is in HP case, Horizontal when I launch Skype, and i see my video correctly rotated.

- I'll check it if i see a drain batterry with battery Monitor Widget.

- I have no reboot and blue screen since the last crash that night.
Works perfect with Skype. I had the blue screen on the first boot after install only.
Thanks Dorregaray!
I know that I am probably being obtuse but ever since Paypal blocked Wikileaks from receiving donations I closed my account and vowed to boycott their services until they apologize and revert their actions.

I would like to contribute to your work and donate but I will not use Paypal. Have you considered setting up a google wallet acccount?

Best regards

one small remark on instagram is the photo's are displayed mirrored, in preview however good orientated and not mirrored.
Can this be installed over the latest nightly?
Tango also appears to work, but the video is rotated . . .
Edited: Just kidding, creating a new post with details on issues.

This is simply a FYI post with regard to a crash I was experiencing. No resolution is needed.

I just started from scratch with CM9 this morning, having recently nuked my entire TouchPad via WebOS Doctor and a full reset. All was well with the installation process and the camera was functioning without issue. As I began derping around with the settings, I noticed the TouchPad crashing pretty much right after boot. After some investigation, it seems like the issues I'm experiencing are pertinent to my CPU governor; I have only used No-Frills CPU Control for as long as I've had my TP. While in the settings, I played with the Developer tab's CPU settings and set the governor to ondemand (the same as what I used with No-Frills). I believe the issue is with having two separate programs attempting to do the same thing. I was initially concerned because I have several quirks with my configuration that make it different from most (including two devices paired via bluetooth). However, if my theory is right, all should be well.

Same as ennu: Skype working great! UCam takes great photoes but crashes w/video. Fantastic work Dorregaray. Hope accept for merge with nightlies.
Skype working fine

UCam works with photoes crashes video

instagram work fine

Great job Dorregaray!
Fantastic. Just testet skype with my daughter... great!
Donation will arrive tomorrow...
i tested FaceUnlock, it works, but the video is reversed in setting mode.

I tested Google Translate with OCR, same problem reversal video.
This morning, I wiped my TouchPad using WebOS Doctor and then did a Factory Reset in WebOS to erase all of my data (I was running out of space and wanted to start clean). I then installed Dorregaray's ROM with the working camera via CWM (after installing CWM and moboot via Acme Installer3). All was fine and dandy during the installation, but that's about where my luck ran out. I started experiencing random reboots (as well as one blue screen) that have persisted through today. It seems as though I may be the only person having issues, so I'm going to assume it's an issue with my configuration--so far as apps are concerned. I'll report back if I am able to figure out the cause.
