Since this requires ext3 then I should be ready to backup my sd because it will be reformatted correct?

Can you guys address this? I'm assuming that the SD Card will not be formatted, but I just want to make sure of that before I flash the new recovery.

Correct. its not going to randomly format your sd.

I'm just curious. When running a backup it runs awesome, but the check marks kinda confused me because I'm not sure what is necessary to be backed up. Obviously system, data, and cache need to be backed up. What about .androidsecure? I backed it up but I'm not totally positive.

That's what I thought it was. I backed it up and restored with great speed and success! I think I'll be keeping this.

I too have just used this with great success. I backed up what I thought I needed and restored everything that was backed up. I like that it is put into a folder and I can rename the folder within root explorer with no risk of md5 corruption. It does take a while to backup but it was lightning quick to restore. Now, to reiterate an earlier post, I only need to backup system, data, cache and possibly .android-secure, correct? What about recovery or boot? I'm not even sure what it could back up on either of those two.

Backup and restore work. I have tested it myself. For those who are sceptic.

Boot is the kernel. So backing that up its good if you switch rooms with kernels. You shouldn't need to backup recovery.

I didn't bring it to the bolt. Team win did that.I just compiled in ext3 support into their work. And this is just a temporary hack. They are going to have official support soon.

There is no uninstall. You just flash over like you do with roms

Nope, maybe they could incorporate it but right now it doesn't look for it
