I also have att but I've noticed a definite improvement there. BTW battery has much improved since I followed your last suggestions

CM nightlies have been stable for me. No issues, other than data loss a few builds back. BlackICE is compatible and runs so smooth. Also been stable for me.

OK but do they have the Google add-ons. I want to avoid the whole process of finding the market, and downloading my apps off a website. Having to do that every time takes the fun out of it.

I don't know about the nightlies having add-ons or not, but if you make a back up of what you have to flash back to, it's worth giving it a try

Also, as far as reception goes, it depends on the radio you're flashing. Different radios will sometimes have better reception in some areas than others, but most ROMs are optimised for the latest radio releases

Batter life can be improved using different ROMs (one of the reasons I love MIUI, easily a full day of heavy use without charging)
So which build of MIUI are you using

Thanks jimmithy! I am on blackice now and loving it! Next, on to betas.
OK now that's f-up I don't even see blackice on the list of roms in rom manager that I can download wtf. And I noticed that rom manager shows I'm running a hd desire and that's not right......I have an inspire does that matter???

The Desire HD is the Inspire branded for European countries, so pretty much the same thing (only differences are the radio chips and the audio hardware).

Also, I've got MIUI 1.09.3 and it runs pretty beautifully, especially OC'd to 1.3 GHz
Well then wgeorgecook I will give MIUI a try..:)

Yeah! I don't think you'll be disappointed. I don't think they have it posted here, but they've got it over at XDA in the Inspire forum
Oh crap there's like 4 different MIUI roms which one there's MIUI.us, MIUI.pt, MIUI.android, and MIUI.hundred???????I be lost

Which one ??

Ahhh you're using ROMmanager

Go to MIUI.us and download the ones they have there. Though I really recommend a full wipe and flash with the latest one over on XDA

Here's the link
Um a question for you I've only ever used ron manager to download and flash roms what's the difference if I download it from the site you linked me?

You can read up on all of the details and documentation to optimise MIUI for your phone/region (especially GPS, APNs, and radio advice)
Also, using RomManager doesn't do a fully wipe, doing it manually guarantees no-problem install

edit: also kernals. They have different kernals available to download on the site so you can mix and match
I've tried just about every rom available for the Inspire for the past couple of months (i was a flashaholic
) and it's come down to cm7 for me.

I, being the over ambitious tart I am, decided to flash back to flash back to pure, unrooted, S-ON stock to try out the updated hack kit. Of course, it decided to not work for me, so I'm stuck unrooted and stock Sense 2.1 for the time being

I'm using miui 1.10.21.
