Hopefully someone here can chime in with some info.

How to I determine the connection speed with which the TP is connected to my wifi. I'd like to compare the 5ghz to the 2.4 one. I know with my Asus Transformer i can get an app that shows the connection details but haven't found anything for the Touchpad.

There's an app in the market called "Netspeed HD" have you looked at that?

thanks that app from what i saw (i just installed it) simply does speed tests. I'm looking for something that states my connection to my wifi router (ie @ 65Mbs)

The OP will need to set up a large file on a local FTP server, then use the touchpad to download the file.

The netspeed hd can also work but you will need a really fast connection. Very few consumer connections in can max out 802.11l so the internet connection speed will most likely become the bottleneck.

If the OP has a router running tomato, it will allow the user to see the max connection speed between the client and the router.

Yeah for anyone thats familiar with Android they have Network Info II that displays the info I'm looking for. Anyway from looking at my router it seems thet it's connecting at 65Mb/s View attachment 2416
