The standard disclaimer applies: I take no responsibility for your phone. Make a nand. Make a nand. Make a nand.

I test these using zipthemer.

So M4 is suuuper awesome. I don't really have anything I'm doing that's too fancy going on, but I thought I'd throw up the layout I'm using now. This will include a status bar mod that will add weather icon and high/low/current temp, as well as moving the right clock option to the pulldown. This also removed the weather panel from the pulldown (1 version that will still include the city. Haven't tested it on anything other than stock DPI. I've tested this on milestone 4 and monolith 1, seems milestone 4 and monolith 1 are using the same pull down and status bar so any of my m4 mods should work. Well here are the pics:

I've put these into ZIPTHEMER (meta doesn't seem to work, not sure why) format in hopes that they will work with other themes, I try mostly to shift things around instead of changing colors/sources/resources. They edit the extended and tracking xml in SystemUI. So unless your theme has changed those xmls or other strings to non-stock settings this should work! I should be able to get around to testing on unblacked out later.

I will only be supporting the latest build, but I will leave the others up.

Weather/Clock pull down mod (without location) - Coming soon

Bugs: Not really a bug as this was really just intended for my own use but I put the right clock inside the weather layout lol, so if you're using anything other than weather panel you will not have a right clock

VERSION 1

VERSION 2 For Stock DPI (IGNORE STATUS BAR MOD - THIS WILL NOT MODIFY YOUR STATUS BAR)

VERSION 2.1 IS AVAILABLE FOR USERS WITH MODDED DPI (THIS VERSION SHOULD WORK REGARDLESS OF DPI SETTING)

These changes apply to all pulldown layouts:
Moved the date and weather to the center of the header
Moved weather panel above divider and gave it the header bg
Removed the settings button completely and you can now use the whole date/weather bar to perform the same function
Changed divider lines from 2.0dip to 1.0dip
Moved carrier text to the pull down bar with black background and a line above it
All text/background is using the date/header_bg tags so, theoretically they should match on any theme.
Moved clear button below notifications

Known Issues (BUGS):
1. After using this mod I guess the weather won't show up right away at boot. You will have to go into ROM control and hit update to get it to show on first boot, unless you have a connection at boot (being on WIFI seems to solve this issue for me lol).
2. Version two will only display properly at 320dpi. Hopefully something will click today and I'll have a better way to align these lol.

I've got a bug right now where the toggles aren't appearing and disappearing. Looks like the toggles aren't updating the same when they are at the bottom. I can get them to toggle on and off if I move a notification. Trying to figure this out....

Haha. Trust me man, I am. I've never really done any dev work so I'm trying to refine my process. I'm very close as you can tell from the screenshots, there are just a few quirks with how things interact that I want to work out.

How's work coming along?

Getting closer and closer! Everything went downhill for a minute, but I think I've cleaned everything up. I had all sorts of layouts I didn't need and now I've removed the bug I mentioned earlier. Now my problem is that the brightness controls are not being accounted for, which is causing the notifications to overlap the brightness bar. I don't wanna promise anything tonight but I will still be working on this for a couple hours tonight if I have to.

Edit: Looks like I was wrong about the brightness controls. I think the notifications are starting from the top of the toggles!

Update: Still haven't gotten the layout of the toggles and notifications right without introducing that bug. I have however successfully changed the settings to the entire header bar instead of just the text, I think it's better this way.

I'm about to call it quits for tonight. I must thank you for giving me motivation to learn more about android layouts, your appreciation keeps me going. I've learned so much today trying to accomplish this!
