How can I install the Wifi fix if I can't connect to the internet?

Forgive my ignorance. I am so new to this stuff. I have an HP Touchpad and installed CM9/ICS last week. Wifi was working fine but hasn't worked since. I have tried everything I read except installing the "Fix" because I can not connect to the internet to do so. Am I missing something?

Also, are the nightlies worth it? How do I go about installing them. I have the alpha 2 installed currently

alpha 2 is too old, you'll be better off with the nightlies. To answer your question though, download fix in pc, transfer file to tp using usb... install via cwm. (that's how i would do it).

The Nightly builds are definitely the version you want to be using

You can however flash the WiFi driver with CWM if you're not ready to move up from Alpha2.

Here's a video that shows how to flash zip files like this fix and gapps.
