  • Use the 'VZW GS3 EZ-Recovery App' to flash the CWM recovery image(below) and reboot into recovery
  • Format system, data, and cache
  • Flash the zip
  • Then flash GApps.
  • Reboot
    • NOTE: With kexec, your device will appear to bootloop twice. This is expected and is the hijack running its course. Just sit tight and you'll see the unicorns in action soon enough.
  • Upon welcome screen [background=rgb(245, 245, 245)]just touch the 4 corners of the welcome screen clockwise starting at top left to skip activation.[/background]
  • [background=rgb(245, 245, 245)] Profit![/background]

[background=rgb(245, 245, 245)]What works:
Pretty Much Everything

What doesn't work:[/background]
  • Data can be glitchy at times.
  • MMS, this is due to current Phone Number not being recognized by device.
  • When receiving Notification during audio playback(music, netflix, youtube, etc). Audio does not auto-resume. Press volume button to resume it for now.

Okay, last thing before I'm off to bed. I was experiencing some lag with transitions and scrolling and was trying to figure out what it was. Turns out it was the b00stedAssv2 Governor. Tried Interactive, OnDemand, SmartAssv2 and everything was back to buttery smoothness. Just a heads up for future tweaking of your gov! :D

EDIT: Ugh, never mind. My phone decided to set the Max setting @ 1.3 Ghz. All is good now :)

Awesome! How stable is it? I know lots of gnex owners having crazy problems, especially after rebooting.

Sent from my htc_jewel using RootzWiki

I'm definitely interested in the aokp-jb rom when it is ready to go. Right now, I am fully stock and NOT rooted. Can someone point me to the correct guide to properly prepare for installing this rom? I assume I need to be both rooted and have a custom recovery, correct? I just came from a Galaxy Nexus where flashing was easy, so I need to make sure I do this right on the GS3.

Thanks!
